Nati captain Granit Xhaka is leaving Arsenal for the Bundesliga after 7 years.
Granit Xhaka’s move to Bayer Leverkusen is fixed. The Swiss national team captain completed his medical check-up in Leverkusen on Thursday and then signed a contract until 2028. Xhaka is considered the player of choice for Bayer coach Xabi Alonso. At Arsenal, the 30-year-old was one of the top performers, played 37 of 38 games in the Premier League and was involved in 14 goals.

Bayer Leverkusen and Xhaka had apparently agreed for weeks, but his previous club Arsenal were looking for a replacement before the release. Declan Rice’s move from West Ham to the “Gunners” is now said to be as good as fixed, which is why Xhaka received definitive approval.
It’s a return to the Bundesliga for Xhaka after playing for Gladbach in Germany between 2012 and 2016. He then moved to Arsenal for almost 45 million francs.
