Graz99ers extend with striker Sam Antonitsch

The Graz99ers announce the extension of Sam Antonitsch’s contract. The 27-year-old signs for two more years in Graz.

In the last off-season, Antonitsch moved from Dornbirn to Graz. The striker showed how important he is for head coach Johan Pennerborn’s team, especially at the end of the season. Antonitsch played his best season so far in the win2day ICE Hockey League and recorded eleven goals and six assists. He scored the most points at the end of the season and was therefore one of the mainstays in moving into the pre-playoffs.

“I’m really happy that I’ll be staying in Graz for the next two years. It was the right step for me personally. I was able to develop very well in Graz and received a lot of trust from the coach. And that’s a big point, why I chose Graz. Besides that, my wife and I like it very much in Graz and everything fits in the organisation, you feel really comfortable. I believe that a lot will be possible in Graz in the coming years and I’m looking forward to the coming season,” says Antonitsch.
