Finally ! Finally, the town of Joué-lès-Tours will be able to organize the first edition of its comedy festival Blagues à part (October 7 to 9) at the Espace Malraux with three headliners, François-Xavier Demaison, Vérino and Alex Vizorek.

Postponed twice

This project, it was in the boxes since 2020 at the town hall of Joué-lès-Tours. But the covid has been there : “We had planned to do it in October 2020, but the conditions did not allow it, we had postponed it by a year” explains Caroline Chalopin, deputy mayor of Joué-lès-Tours in charge of culture. Failed again! ” In 2021, we decided again to postpone the event, because the conditions for setting up catering were draconian “. This time, it is therefore the right one to launch the first edition of a festival: “Which completes the existing offer in the Centre-Val de Loire. We were not aware of a comedy festival that takes place over three days”.

Local talent showcased

And for a first, the poster is rather enticing. The festival team wanted to mark the occasion by attracting big names in comedy. “It was the goal to make an impression from this first edition, we are very proud to count on François-Xavier Demaison, Verino and Alex Vizorek “. François-Xavier Demaison will notably come to present his new show Di(x)vin(s). “It’s a show where he selects ten wines that evoke important events in his life, while linking him to current events and societal events,” announces Caroline Chalopin.

Seats still available

This festival will also allow young talents to express themselves during the three days after a selection made thanks to a springboard. The Touraine improvisation league will also be present. “We are really satisfied with this first edition, we hope to be able to sustain the event over time” concludes Caroline Chalopin. There are still a few tickets still on sale on the website of Malraux space.
