Greece plans to contribute 2.5 million euros to the overall aid package for Ukraine. This was stated by the country’s Foreign Minister Yorgos Gerapetritis.

“Greece will contribute 2.5 million euros to the overall aid package for Ukraine. Also, mainly through the port of Alexandroupolis, the country guarantees the rapid deployment of allied forces on the eastern flank of NATO,” Yorgos Gerapetritis said in a conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The teleconference was held within the framework of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the EU countries. The words of Herapetritis are quoted by TASS.

The minister also added that at the expense of Greece, the supply of electronic carriers is ensured not only for the country itself, but also for countries that are located in close proximity. This is possible thanks to the construction of LNG terminals and electrical connections.

Earlier it was reported that NATO plans to use Greek ports once morest Russia. In particular, the US and NATO countries want to get all the ports of Greece to send soldiers to the borders of Russia.
