Greiner Appoints Harald Feiel as Vice President Group IT to Lead IT Transformation

Vienna/Kremsmünster, 24 April 2024 – Harald Feiel (53) takes up the newly created position of Vice President Group IT in Greiner on 3 June. With this new position, the internationally active plastics and foam company from Kremsmünster wants to further push the group-wide IT transformation. Feiel most recently worked as Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at PORR AG. There he was responsible for “Enterprise Digital Strategy” and reported directly to the board.

As Vice President Group IT, Harald Feiel is responsible for further development and implementation of the IT strategy, which will make a significant contribution to achieving the goals within the group strategy. The focus of the new Group-IT organization is also to identify trends, risks and opportunities at an early stage, exploit synergies and enable even better career paths within information technology.

Harald Feiel studied applied computer science at the University of Salzburg and software engineering at Bowling Green State University in Ohio (USA). He started his career in 1994 as a research assistant in the USA. He then worked as a system administrator and then as Chief Information Officer (CIO) in several international companies. From 2005 to 2019, he worked for the VAMED Group, where he initially set up the IT infrastructure at the Prince Court Medical Center in Kuala Lumpur and was then responsible for the entire VAMED Group’s IT strategy.

Harald Feiel is married, has two children and lives with his family in Hinterbrühl (Lower Austria).
