When I imagine the world of Starcatcher, I think of the cosmos. It makes me ask a lot of questions

I don’t know why the release of the third album by GRETA VAN FLEET took place so quietly and quietly… I just stumbled upon it by chance. It may have been because of the cover, which was really simple or meaningless, but definitely not because of the material at hand.

Because the Kiszka brothers, with their childhood friend Danny Wagner, took the listener back to a time when real music was still being made with the first number “Fate Of The Faithful”. Josh’s voice alone makes your hair stand on end, and in a good way. In “The Falling Sky” he screams at heights that make even Mr. Plant look a little pale and the harmonica solo tops it all off.

“Runaway Blues” features the four boys completely, but unfortunately it only lasts 1.5 minutes. Somehow it gives me the feeling of “The Immigrant Song”, it also cuts through your bones and is far too short in my opinion. In the last four songs of the album, the band brings the hammer of the gods down on the anvil once again.

It starts with “Frozen Light” where Josh’s voice and Jake’s guitar unite so harmoniously that it doesn’t seem to get any higher. “The Archer” immediately proves the opposite and although quieter than its predecessor, the song completely captivates me. The same thing happens to me with “Meeting The Master”. A slow, quiet and acoustic guitar intro and again Josh’s distinctive voice grab me and won’t let me go until the more than heightened end of the song. “Farewell For Now” offers a successful conclusion to a truly good classic rock album.

And even if the voice and the riffs as well as the drumming have changed somewhat from the two previous albums, the lead airship always hovers over “Starcatcher” and the band. All I can say is that that’s a good thing and they shouldn’t change it. In times when one of our heroes’ lives goes out almost every day, or the great old ones continue to rest on their well-deserved laurels and no longer bring anything new to the market or no longer produce anything new, it is a relief for the ears of a young one “To hear a band that manages to revive classic rock.”

Even if they continue to be criticized for being just cheap ones LED ZEPPELIN Clones and copiers, I am still happy that there were albums with good rock music in the Kiszka family’s record cabinet and that the three brothers were given a decent musical education. It could have been much, much worse.

And I would like to say to the eternal complainers: “Show some tolerance and humor towards the bands that imitate your gods.” If all fans were so narrow-minded, then you would have all the imitators AC/DC, IRON MAIDEN, DEEP PURPLE, MOTÖRHEAD and many more, never had a chance. Because in every new band there is something that has already existed before. And let me tell you: Page, Jones and Plant won’t be releasing anything new that even comes close to their old days. So put on your headphones, turn it up to the max and let yourself be enchanted by GRETA VAN FLEET and taken on a journey into her cosmos.
