Grey’s Anatomy: Jackson back in season 19… without April?

This time, it’s Meredith who will visit him in Boston.

A few months following his return to Seattle, accompanied by April Kepner, Jackson Avery will soon reappear in Grey’s Anatomy. The actor Jesse Williams is announced in the fifth episode of season 19, which he also directs and which will be broadcast next Thursday, November 3 on ABC.

However, no “Japril” in sight this time. Sarah Drew will not return to play the one who had fallen back into the arms of her ex-husband in Boston as revealed at the end of season 18.

In fact, it is Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) that we will find in Boston in this episode, obviously crossing paths with Jackson, who now lives there with April and their daughter Harriet, and works at the Avery Foundation.

Note that this will be the third appearance of Jesse Williams as a guest star since leaving Grey’s Anatomy at the end of season 17.
