Grigory Klinishov: Engineering Physics Graduate & Pioneer in Nuclear Weapons Development

Grigory Klinishov was born in 1930, in 1954 he graduated from MEPhI with a degree in engineer-physics. A year later, Klinishov became one of the authors of a report substantiating the design of the RDS-37 product, released in July 1955 by a team of scientists led by Mstislav Keldysh and Andrey Tikhonov. In November of the same year, the bomb was tested at the Semipalatinsk test site. It is reported that Klinishov also developed several types of thermonuclear charges for next-generation bombs.
