growth forecasts revised downwards by the government

Morocco is expected to record growth of between 1.5% and 1.7% this year, once morest an initial forecast of 3.2% in the 2022 Finance Law. The announcement was made in Parliament on Monday by the head of the government, Aziz Akhannouch.

Unsurprisingly, this downward revision of forecasts is explained by the expected underperformance of agricultural value added (-11% once morest +18% in 2021).

Non-agricultural value added should improve by 3.1% in 2022.
