Nevertheless, nothing is played, since the purchase is still not validated by the regulators. They seek to avoid the disastrous consequences that the deal might have on the video game industry. And serious repercussions are looming. A few days ago, Microsoft announced its intention not to renew the Call of Duty deal with PlayStation. It doesn’t take long to learn a rumor to the contrary: GTA might become a PlayStation exclusive.
Sony plans to buy Take-Two Interactive, if Microsoft buys Activision-Blizzard
After signing a long-term contract with Nintendo to release the Activision-Blizzard games there, Microsoft wants to play a trick on its eternal competitor Sony, by withdrawing the flagship Activision games. If it is still difficult to imagine how such a thing might happen, Sony is already preparing the response.
According to a rumor that has been circulating for a few days, if the regulators were to validate the takeover of Activision-Blizzard by Microsoft, Sony will acquire Take-Two Interactive. It’s the video game company that owns Rockstar Games best known for GTA et NBA 2K. The rumor comes from the very knowledgeable Rythian on Twitter.
“It’s clear that if Microsoft acquires Activision Blizzard, Sony will go following Take-Two Interactive to counter it. Three of my reliable and almost always correct sources have confirmed this to me.
We are thus tending towards a fierce struggle in terms of video games. If Microsoft gets its hands on the coveted Callf of Duty, Sony will respond by grabbing GTA 6, the most anticipated game of the year.

Valued at 19 billion dollars, Rythian announces that Sony might afford Take-Two Interactive for $20 billion.
