Rockstar Games is hard at work on GTA 6. But where will the next game be? Fans have a strong presumption for the next city: Carcer City.
New York – Until the first trailer for GTA 6 is released, the most burning question within the GTA community remains what city the game will be set in. Vice City, Liberty City and Los Santos are some of the busiest cities the game has seen so far. A city never before seen in GTA could become part of the game world and connect the entire Rockstar universe.

GTA 6: Carcer City clues – is Rockstar bringing its vast universe together?
What city is it exactly? With GTA 6, everyone hopes that Vice City will be back in the new installment. But after numerous leaks, rumors and clues, another city is gaining more and more attention from the community. It would be Carcer City, a city in the northern United States inspired by Chicago and Detroit. So far, Carcer City has yet to be playable in a GTA, but this city might be familiar to hardcore Rockstar Games fans.
How do we know Carcer City? Carcer City made a first, albeit very passive, appearance in GTA 3, where the city was already being talked about on a radio program, even though it had never been seen. Rockstar fans first forayed into the city in Manhunt, released in 2004, but no one should see it here, as Manhunt has been confiscated and banned from airing in Germany and much of Europe.
This isn’t the first time crossovers and easter eggs have suggested that Rockstar’s various franchises, such as Bully, could be set in the same universe. So, Michael mentions in GTA 5 that he also made his first flight in Carcer City. So far, Rockstar games have stuck to their own cities, but if Carcer City were to appear in GTA 6, it would open the door to a more elaborate and cohesive Rockstar universe.
GTA 6: Other cities than Carcer City are possible
What other cities are possible for GTA 6? It doesn’t have to be Carcer City, as so far the city has only been mentioned in alleged leaks and rumors. Fans are just as fond of Vice City, which the community has been wanting to return for years.
But it also appears from several sources, such as the GTA 6 Project Americas leak, that an additional region, inspired by Cuba and Colombia, could appear in the game. This would make it possible to go from the United States to South America. This should also have an impact on GTA 6’s online mode, as a major recent leak hinted.
