This Saturday (6 p.m.), the S1 ROUND 4 event takes place near the Salle Ambroise Paré in Colombes. Savate Pro and Savate World Finals are notably on the program.
La Savate takes off again in Colombes. This Saturday, the program promises to be extremely rich at the Salle Ambroise Paré, in the heart of the Hauts-de-Seine city. “On this organization, we collaborate with the Ligue Île-de-France de Savate French boxing and the ESC BC club”explains Jérôme Huon, founder of the S1 Savate Pro label. “The first part of the field will consist of three amateur fights with athletes from the Colombes club who will meet Frenchmen and an Italian. »
“Then, we will have a Savate Pro tournament, in partnership with the French Federation of Savate French boxing, in Savate Pro Tour format. The latter is a federal concept which brings together four fighters. After drawing lots, they will challenge each other in the semi-finals, before the final at the end of the evening”continues Jérôme Huon. “The winner will not only be the overall winner of the Savate Pro Tour, but will also be awarded the S1 Savate Pro belt for -60kg. »
“The Savate Pro is a crossroads between different combat sports”
At the heart of the evening, three Savate French boxing world finals are on the program. Three women’s finals, with the Tricolores favorites to win three gold medals. Méghane Amouri (F52), Samira Bounhar (F60) and Fanny Moreno (F75). “It’s obviously a highlight of the evening”underlines Jérôme Huon. “After these finals, we will also have Ange Kunzli who will defend his belt in -70kg for a fight in 7×2 minutes. It is a fairly rare format and therefore very interesting. »
In addition to the world finals, it is the Savate Pro which will liven up the evening, with a guaranteed show. “For me, Savate Pro is the true showcase of French boxing. We are on regulations which allow an opening towards other disciplines. The Savate Pro is thus a crossroads between different combat sports”specifies the founder of the S1 Savate Pro label. “At the public level, we are able to reach people who don’t know much about French boxing, but who like combat sports. During the last S1, in Arpajon, the room was full. We even refused people at the entrance! » Colombes has been warned: show guaranteed this Saturday from 6 p.m.
