Bautista comes from a poor background, the family lived off his grandfather’s job as a taxi driver. He grew up in a crime-ridden area and was a car robbery by the time he was 13.
He later got a job as a bouncer and took up bodybuilding, which eventually got him a big wrestling career. He received the World Heavyweight Championship four times and the WWE Championship twice.
“Through these experiences I have learned to be humble and content with little. … I never want to forget where I come from,” he once said in an interview.
After a small role in the action film “Wrong Side of Town”, Bautista was able to get guest appearances in series such as “Smallville”, “Neighbours” and “Chuck”. The rest is Hollywood history.
