Guinea: RPG militants in the streets of Koloum

2023-08-14 12:39:26

Young people, made up of men and women, stormed the streets of Kaloum on the morning of this Monday, August 13, 2023. They demand the return of Alpha Condé to power and the release of Kassory Fofana, Diané et cie, whom they believe to be unjustly detained.

These young people are carrying signs on which one can read: “We prefer the third mandate of Alpha Condé to the dictatorship of the putschists. Transition mandate mara! Free our unjustly arrested rainbow RPG executives. No to French interference so that national sovereignty lives.

Former President Alpha Condé was overthrown on September 5, 2023. Since then, several leaders of his party have been hunted down and detained at the Central House in Conakry. Although demonstrations are banned throughout Guinea, Rpg arc-en-ciel activists have defied this ban.

It should be noted that another demonstration of support for the ruling junta took place in Kankan on Sunday August 13, 2023.
