Gulf Cooperation Council Summit welcomes GCC unified tourist visa decision. The Supreme Council meeting held in Doha decided to assign the responsibility of the Home Ministers for the further steps.
The interior ministers were tasked with expediting the unified tourist visa approved by the GCC Interior Ministerial Committee which met in Oman in the first week of November. After years of discussions and planning, the GCC approved a unified visa on the Schengen model.
Through this, it will be possible to visit six GCC countries with a single visa. The decision is eagerly awaited by locals, residents and foreigners alike. It is expected that the unified visa will come into effect by the middle of next year, with the completion of procedures under the supervision of the GCC Home Ministers Committee.
