Gunfire at Chisinau International Airport: Man Denied Entry Opens Fire, Two Dead

Two people were killed when a man opened fire at the airport in the Maldovian capital, Chişinău, on Friday, following he was refused entry into the country, according to police.

Moldovan police said that “a foreigner who was refused entry to Moldova opened fire at Chisinau International Airport.”

The police reported that the shooter was injured, and he is receiving medical attention.

Police spokeswoman Diana Vitko said police were at the airport and flights were delayed.

It is the main Moldovan international airport and the largest in the country.
