Gunther’s Preference for the Classic Intercontinental Championship Design and Updates on Drew McIntyre’s Return

During a recent interview with Steve Fall, WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther opened up regarding not wanting a new design for his championship. The Ring General tells us:

“I’m fine with the one I have. Personally, I always liked the old design with the white design. But things have to develop and things have to move forward and I think that’s just personal taste and I’m very happy with how it’s looking right now. »

That’s good because the new Intercontinental Championship design was introduced on the November 22, 2019 episode of SmackDown with Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura being the champion at the time, and it’s all in all a resounding renewal.

As you know, the return of Drew McIntyre is always eagerly awaited by several WWE fans who are really looking forward to seeing him once more. And you know it, the Scottish pugilist has been absent since his defeat at WrestleMania 39 last April, while he only has a few months left on his contract with WWE.

It seems that his return is soon, if we made the PWInsider who was able to speak with several sources of the WWE. His sources claim that many employees believe Drew McIntyre will be back on WWE shows around Money in the Bank which is WWE’s next Premium Live Event to be held on July 1st from London.

So we’ll find out next week if it all comes together.
