“Gym Etiquette: The Ethics of Filming Others During Workouts”

If you regularly go to the gym or work out on TikTok, you’ve probably seen more and more bodybuilders trying to catch others doing what they deem to be inappropriate behavior. This started off clean, as it was a way for women to point out creepy men at their local gym.

For some, however, this has gone too far, and it all seemed to boil over when one user filmed a man she thought was trying to impress her. However, fitness influencer Joey Swoll responded to the video, saying the woman was trying to make fun of the man in the video.

In a Twitter post, he had some harsh words and said peopleShould “stop filming videos of people in gyms posting on social media to make fun of them. Gyms need to change their policies and start kicking people out.

That’s certainly a tough stance, and Mr Swal didn’t finish there, as he also singled out the woman and her gym.“I want you to learn to respect people and not mind others. You need to do better. Mind your own business.

This backlash did cause the woman who shot the original video to delete her TikTok account, but it seems Joey Swoll wants gyms to still take the issue more seriously, arguing that no one should be filming another person in the gym, Unless they are a personal trainer or their training partner.

what do you think?
