György Gát, director of Linda, Angyalbőr and Família Kft., has passed away

Between 1993 and 1999, he was the president and CEO of TNG Rt., then from 1999 he became the managing director of New TNG Productions Kft., and he also taught at the Department of Aesthetics and Media of the Faculty of Arts, ELTE.

He also appeared as an actor in the 1982 film Dögkeselyű. Later, he was the director and screenwriter of the highly successful series Linda, which was filmed between 1984 and 1989. The series Angyalbőrben can also be connected to it, as well as Família Kft., which was also a defining and popular series of MTV in the early 90s.

In 2020, he also became the showrunner of TV2’s Mintaapák series, but left the crew just a few days after his appointment.

György Gát was married twice, with his first wife, Nóra Görbe, he had two children, Anna and Márton.
