TAFF:fest, the fifth summer jazz festival in Haapsalu, will take place this year on 19-20 in July in Haapsalu fortress. The festival will once again bring acclaimed artists and unexpected line-ups to the stage. Festival passes are on sale from today.
„TAFF:fest is coming back with a bang. Impressively good musicians and special lineups that you won’t see or hear at other festivals. If we add the grand coziness of the castle courtyard and an intelligent audience, we can expect another uplifting weekend,” said fartistic director of estival, saxophonist Furious Tafenau.
Mingo Rajandi and his new band, Eesti, will perform at the festival gypsy-jazz flagship Titoks with surprise guests, Estonian Voices brings a presentation concert of its new album to the festival. Tafenau celebrates its 60th birthday with the program “Ice on ipanema” with the singer Susanna Aleksandra. Estonian jazz music grand old man The Tõnu Naissoo Trio brings with it the young saxophonist Nikita Korzoun, the international Agan-Viinikainen quartet has invited Karmen Rõivaseppa on stage with them. Ewert Sundja performs with the Peedu Kass ensemble with an unprecedentedly intense kazz program, singer-songwriter Liina Saar warms the hearts of the audience with her beautiful music, and the party night is set up and the festival ends with the program “Rap`n`jazz”, which started at TAFF:fest, where rappers perform with the Tafenau band villemdrillem and racket.
