The company team Lux Opticsresponsible for Halide, a famous professional camera app for iPhones, announced the development of yet another software. This is the Evilwhich will focus entirely on video capture and is expected to be launched by February next year.

The idea behind the program is similar to the one that led the company to create Halide a few years ago (the arrival of support for capturing RAW photos on iPhones): the new app should take advantage of the entire Log recording potential of the company’s devices. Apple, a possibility that was added with the launch of the iPhones 15 Pro/15 Pro Max.

Currently, Kino is still far from being completely developed. But this does not mean that users will be left out of the entire process, as the developers promise to show behind-the-scenes development of the software, which can be followed closely on its official website.

The video for this announcement itself, they say, was already recorded with an alpha version of Kino:

The development of Kino is also a response to the many requests from Halide users, who constantly asked the developers when they would add video recording support to the software.

Well, with Kino’s conception they make it clear that this will never happen. ???? Halide is and will always remain focused on photos.
