The Battle Royale seems to be confirmed

In the latest episode of the Xbox Two podcast hosted by Rand al Thor 19, he explains that he has information that suggests a Battle Royale is well in the works and has been in development for over two years. He also indicates that it is a “big project” which could also be a standalone like Warzone.

Typical elements of the genre would be present such as a combat zone which is reduced as the game progresses, but it is also obviously to be expected that the mode will have its own identity.

We also learn that it should be linked to the Forge, without further details. The number of players per game and the scale of the mode also remain to be defined.

Chatting up Fortnite and Apex players

Earlier this week, we learned that Certain Affinity and 343 Industries reinforced their connection with the goal of “evolving Halo Infinite in new and exciting ways”. What could be better than a Battle Royale in the Halo universe to give meaning to this collaboration?

The purpose of this mode would be to bring new players to the Halo franchise. By new players, we understand here that it is above all a question of giving a foot to the players of Fortnite, Warzone or Apex Legends.

It is during Season 3 that this BR could land with a presentation at the Xbox Game Showcase this summer. A postponement to Season 4 cannot be ruled out, however.

Remember that for the moment, 343 Industries is on its side dedicated to the launch of the Saison 2 of Halo Infinite scheduled for May 3. Many changes are planned for this occasion and you will find all the details in our dedicated article.
