Under the motto ‘Bring Them Home Now’, a broad alliance of around 25 Jewish and non-Jewish organizations demonstrated together with individuals in downtown Vienna.

Vienna (OTS) – A solidarity rally took place in Vienna on Sunday, six months following Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel: We demand the unconditional and immediate release of all 133 people held hostage by Hamas! The hostages’ families have been living in uncertainty for 6 months. We stand in solidarity and show them that they are not alone.

The approximately 1,000 participants in the rally, together with celebrities, peacefully and forcefully drew attention to the hostages and the high level of human rights violations: Kidnapped civilians must not be used as collateral.

The Israeli Embassy’s deputy chief of mission, Maya Karmely Sommer, was overwhelmed by the support for the abductees, their families and for Israel: We greatly appreciate the friendship we receive from Austria’s politicians and civil society. Bring Them Home Now!

Among the hostages are two small children, many young women, very elderly people and also an Austrian citizen. In many cities around the world, solidarity was shown that day with those kidnapped by Hamas.
