Within the Argentine Youth Team, which has been played in San Luis since Tuesday, the referees carry out their annual revalidation with advice from the nutritionist and kinesiologist from the high performance sports center.

The team of medical professionals from the Campus of the University of La Punta joined the nutritionist, Johana Olguín, and the kinesiologist, Carlos Escudero, to train the handball referees who must revalidate their knowledge.

The activity takes place within the Argentine Youth Teams that has been played in San Luis since Tuesday, and the place chosen is the “Arturo Rodríguez Jurado” conference room, the High Performance Sports Center that the province has at the University of Tip.

The kinesiologist Carlos Escudero commented: “I spoke about injury prevention with an introduction to the preventive method, and then I offered a workshop on basic ankle, wrist, finger and knee bandages, so that they can have knowledge while they are directing a match and a injury, they can act quickly, with precision and continue the development of the game”.

For her part, nutritionist Johana Olguín indicated: “I spoke about how performance and performance, both physical and mental, can be improved from food, since there must be a good cognitive response. The referees have to be super focused to make good decisions and that is where hydration and blood oxygenation greatly influences”.

Johana specified: “See what nutrients we can meet that energy demand with, and also supplementation on tournament days, where they run several games a day.”

“The growth of the sport must come hand in hand with health and the idea from the Campus medical team is to accompany, in this case the development of the handball referees”, remarked the nutritionist.
