Harald Glöökler is terminally ill and suffers from chronic pain

Great concern for Harald Glööckler: the designer suffers from the incurable fibromyalgia syndrome, as he announced in an interview with “Das Neue Blatt”. It is a chronic pain disorder that can affect all muscle groups in the body. The suffering of the 57-year-old is correspondingly great. He was diagnosed six years ago, but the symptoms are getting worse and worse.

«I have a headache, a sore throat, everything swells up. My hands start to tingle and my feet get stiff,” he explains – and continues: “Some days I feel like I’m 100 years old because of my fibromyalgia. It’s also called soft tissue rheumatism.” In the meantime, it is so far that normal painkillers no longer work. “The only thing that helps me is nerve pills, because it’s a nerve thing,” says the former jungle camper.

“The doctors don’t know exactly where it comes from, so it’s not easy to treat,” says Glööckler. It is clear, however, that physical stress promotes flare-ups. In the worst case, it could even lead to heart attacks in addition to muscle cramps. Already in the summer of 2021, Harald spoke in one RTL interview over his swollen face. But at that time he waved it off and justified this with hay fever.
