Athens/Ankara/Helsinki – Opposition to President Joe Biden’s endorsed sale of F-16 fighter jets to Turkey is hardening in the US Congress. The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Democratic party friend of Biden, Bob Menendez, recently emphasized that he rejects the planned deal. In addition to the problems Ankara is causing with Sweden joining NATO, the US senator is also concerned about “aggressive behavior” against Greece.
