Asus, unlike its competitors, has not launched devices for all price ranges. Therefore, it has only focused on something more niche with the proposal of delivering high-performance smartphones even for the most demanding users. Design
You know the old adage “Face of one, snout of another“? That’s exactly what we have here. Both smartphones are exactly identical in terms of design. So we have two very large circles in the upper left corner to house the cameras. The only difference between them is due to the smallest detail of the ” 09″ stamped on the last generation model that is certainly not present on the new generation. So here we have a a tie.

When it comes to screen, both are well served. So we have a display Super AMOLED of compact 5.92 inches and with resolution Full HD+. In addition, both screens have the technology HDR10+ and a glow that can reach up to 1.100 nits peak.

A difference that can be considered in this regard is that the Zenfone 10 has a refresh rate that can reach up to 144Hz, however we have a catch here. Asus only allows the activation of 144Hz when running a game. It ends up being a mistake by the company for the user not to be able to take advantage of this when browsing social networks and having a scroll more agile.
Processing and Memories
In terms of performance, then we started to see the first considerable differences between them. The Zenfone 9 has the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 against the mighty Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 of Zenfone 10. The raw performance of Zenfone 9 it’s far from bad though the expectation is that the younger brother stands out and delivers more FPS in games. Regarding memory capacities, both have RAM memory that can reach up to 16GB and internal storage ranging up to 256GB. However, the Zenfone 10 takes advantage of bringing even a stronger version with 512GB of internal space. The Zenfone 9, on the other hand, has a more modest version with just 6GB of RAM e 128GB of internal storage.
cameras
A point that is also worth mentioning in these smartphones are their cameras. Both have a double set of cameras, however we have some differences to consider: The sensor principal of Zenfone 10 remains the same as 50MP f/1.9 of the previous generation, however the sensor ultrawide comes to count on 13MP contra 12MP of the predecessor. The front now has 32MP in front of 12MP from the previous one.

Battery and Charging
The battery of the Zenfone 10 is a point that was rumored that we would have 5,000mAh typical capacity, but unfortunately that did not happen. The device continues with the same 4,300mAh typical capacity of the previous model.

The same happened with the loading speed that it only has 30W of power when charged with wire and this number reduces even more when we talk about reverse charging of only 5W of power on loading (which is simply disgraceful by today’s standards). As for the wireless charging of the Zenfone 10, it is only 15W of power (which is also a considerably low number).
Operational system
Both devices have the famous operating system of the little green robot, but we have differences in relation to the Android version of each one. While the Zenfone 9 came standard with the Android 12the Zenfone 10 already came with the Android 13 of manufactures. What does that mean? It means that on the latest model you will have one year more update support compared to the previous generation sibling.

An interesting point to be considered in both Zenfones is that they are one of the few and very rare smartphones flagships who still have Input P2 for headphones. We know that with the popularization of headphones wireless users rarely listen to wired headphones. However, there are still those people who are adept at traditional wired headphones and this can be a very advantageous point to consider buying them instead of flagships competitors in the market.

Pricing and Release Date
The Zenfone 9 was launched here in Brazil on the October 18, 2022 by values from R$3.999 in the version of 6GB of RAM com 128GB of internal storage. As for the Zenfone 10, it has not yet been officially announced in Brazil, but it was launched outside on June 29th of that year by values from 799 Euros (which gives something around the R$4.300 in direct conversion).
If we consider that the previous model came here 3 months after the global announcement, there is a great possibility that the Zenfone 10 will be announced here in October this year. But what are your guesses for the launch value of the device here in Brazil? Leave your opinion in the comments.
