Haven is updating to add new options that may please some members of the LGBTQIA+ community. This patch called the Couples Update by The Game Bakers East already available for free.
Haven just got a little better
The game now allows you to choose between Yu and Kay from the original game and alternative versions to have same-gender couples. Thus, it is possible to have a male Yu to accompany Kay, or a female Kay to accompany Yu. Note that this does not have the slightest impact on the story ofHaven or its gameplay and that the alternative versions are of course entitled to their dubbing.
In the press release accompanying this announcement, the game’s creative director Emeric Thoa is pleased to be able to at least partially correct one of the concessions made to complete the project. Indeed, from the very beginning, the desire was to propose several different couples for maximum diversity and representativeness. And we can only welcome this will.
Haven is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch and PC. We strongly recommend it, especially as a couple.
