The ship in distress, number QB-33815-TS, owned by Nguyen Tien Cong, Canh Duong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province, was on a fishing journey with 7 crew members.
When the ship was fishing about 54 nautical miles from Con Co island, crewman Nguyen Van Dung showed signs of a stroke, weak health, and fell into critical condition.

Around 8 am this morning, February 19, the incident report was transferred to Squadron 202. Leaders of the unit deployed response measures. Through first aid, the patient’s blood pressure was normal, his pulse was rapid, his mouth was difficult to speak, his right hemiplegia was paralyzed, and he was conscious.
At 17:20 the ship docked and the ambulance of the 202nd Squadron carried the victim to the emergency at Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital.
