HBO super trailer allows first look at mega series 2023

Jodie Foster as “True Detective”, sequel to the award-winning family fight for “Succession” and new series highlights: We can get a first glimpse of them all in the newly released HBO supertrailer.

Pedro Pascal as the companion of humanity’s last hope in the games adaptation “The Last of Us” is just the first HBO highlight of the year. From January 16th we can see it in Germany on Sky. Here’s a full trailer, too, in stark contrast to the latest season of the acclaimed anthology crime series True Detective, which follows the investigation of cinema legend Jodie Foster and hasn’t released any footage yet.

We’ll tell you straight away which existing and new top series HBO is showing in the video – here’s the trailer:

It is usually not yet known when the highlights presented will start with us. But one can assume that the HBO top titles will, as always, land with us via Sky shortly after the US release.

But now, as promised, to the individual titles.

On sale on HBO 2023:

  • The Last of Us Season 1: Games adaptation starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as an unlikely duo traversing the post-apocalyptic United States.
  • True Detective: Night Country, Season 4: As before, an independent story is told with new personnel in this season. This time starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, boxing word champion and actress. The two investigate the disappearance of several men from a remote research station in cold and gloomy Alaskan weather.
  • SuccessionSeason 4: The struggle for power and media continues in the fan-favorite Roy family.
  • Love and DeathSeason 1: Elizabeth Olsen (“Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”) played a leading role in the recently filmed tragedy about an ax murder in the middle class milieu in Texas, also starring Jessica Biel (“Candy”).
  • The Idol: Music drama starring Lily-Rose Depp and The Weekend. There is also a trailer here:

Barry, Season 4: Killer or Actor? Sequel to Barry’s Big Dilemma starring comedian Bill Hader.

The Gilded AgeSeason 2: Return to high society in late 19th-century New York, starring Christine Baranski and Cynthia Nixon.

Somebody SomewhereSeason 2: Sam (comedian and singer Bridget Everett) rediscovers the joys of song and community.

Winning TimeSeason 2: Continuation of the sports series about the Los Angeles Lakers with John C. Reilly, Quincy Isaiah, Adrien Brody, Jason Segel and others.

Curb Your EnthusiasmSeason 12: Comedian Larry David returns to play a fictionalized version of himself.

The Righteous GemstonesSeason 3: The dysfunctional clan of weird TV evangelists is back – with John Goodman as patriarch Eli.

Velma, Season 1: The animated comedy follows the origin story of puzzle solver Velma, whom we know from her later days as part of the Scooby-Doo team. Mindy Kaling is executive producer and Velma voices the original. There is already a trailer:
