A 30-year-old man argued with his 64-year-old neighbor in the city of La Plata and set his house on fire with him inside.
The event occurred on Monday morning at 529 street between 121 and 122, in the town of Tolosa. The victim of the arson attack is called José Luis Subiaga, he was able to be rescued by other neighbors and is out of danger, according to police sources.
Meanwhile, the attacker identified as Leandro Damián Gallardo was arrested by police officers from the sixth police station who arrived in the area after calling 911.
“The event arose as a result of a discussion between Gallardo and his neighbor Subiaga, whose home was set on fire with him being inside, spreading the fire source to two other neighboring squares,” they detailed in the police report.
After the dramatic rescue, the neighbor had to be transferred by SAME personnel to the Gutiérrez Hospital with a start of suffocation. At this time he is out of danger and without burns.
