He can’t stand a neighbor’s remark and breaks down his front door with an ax

On November 11, in the middle of a public holiday, the residents of rue de Stalingrad in Aiseau-Presles were undoubtedly expecting a peaceful, calm day. Unfortunately for them, it was quite the opposite! The fault of Thomas, 27 years old. As the prosecution reports, around 8 a.m., the latter adopted too sporty a driving style by squealing his tires and applying hand brakes.

At the same time, Khalid (assumed first name) sleeps peacefully until being awakened by the infernal noise of Thomas’ vehicle. The neighbor leaves his home to tell the driver of his dissatisfaction. Thomas appreciates the remark only very moderately and leaves to return a few moments later with a telescopic baton to threaten Khalid.

Visibly not satisfied, Thomas leaves again, comes back and pulls an ax out of his trunk to pursue the neighbor. The latter, frightened, finds refuge at home. Thomas then strikes twice with an ax in the front door of the house. The prosecution requires a probationary stay for the young defendant, author of a “single bloodshed” according to Me Stampetta, his lawyer. The latter pleads a labor sentence.

Judgment on April 4.
