He deliberately hits a pedestrian twice with his car

A motorist is facing multiple charges, including one for attempted murder, following he hit a pedestrian twice in a row with his car.

This case of road rage in New Jersey was captured by surveillance cameras earlier this week.

On the images, it is possible to see the driver, Vincent Jean, hitting the victim for the first time. The 56-year-old then backed up on the woman to hit her a second time, CNN reports.

Investigators believe that the situation escalated following a car accident between the two individuals.

The 50-year-old was arrested following fleeing the scene.

The victim, a 23-year-old woman, was taken to hospital. She is in critical condition with numerous injuries, but her condition has improved, it is reported.

Vincent Jean remains detained and should be back in court next week.
