That’s how I started loving acting. Although he was interested, he did not know what to do for it. I didn’t know what to do because I didn’t have a film background. I started thinking about taking acting seriously when I was working as a cabin crew. While working in Saudi, I heard about the program ‘Naika Nayakan’ in Manorama online. I mailed all my photos. But I didn’t get the selection. After a few days, they came to know about the open audition. It is the friend who asks to participate in it. There is also a complaint that I did not select when I sent the mail. So I thought if I go directly I will get selection. So attended the audition. Selected. Although I was interested in acting, I got to know more about it through the show. After that I switched to acting as a passion.

∙ I was very sad then, but now I am happy
I had a fondness for modeling from a long time ago. He was very keen to walk the ramp. But I could not do that. I didn’t belong to our conventional notion of beauty. I didn’t have a minimum height in modeling. So many opportunities were lost. Many have asked for a chance to walk the ramp and have not been given it. It has been omitted saying that there is no height. And they all say that if you like modeling, you can do photoshoots. But my favorite was the ramp walk. But now all that has changed. Many people called me to be the show stopper at the point where I was left out. It was a big change when I got the recognition. Height doesn’t matter for a show stopper. But due to corona, I could not go to many places called. Opportunities will come.

It was the costumes that attracted me to modeling in the past. When I was young, I used to look at costumes on women’s fashion pages. Later it was realized that not only clothes are important in this. Our attitude and pose are all important. I like modern costumes the most. At first that was the most followed. Then he started finding beauty in saree too. I love all the photos in the saree now.

No criticism affects me. I wear what I like to wear. And seeing the photo and calling it ugly is a problem in the eyes of those who see it, not my problem. People who body shame me and say I’m thin are the ones who see that costume and find it ugly. Harassing me or reading comments like this is not my business. But it becomes a problem when it comes to my family. Sometimes they feel very uncomfortable when they hear certain things.

I am a person who likes to wear modern dress very much. In the past, I have heard many people talking about my clothes from my back. It was my mother who taught me how to react back then.
