Some rumors have circulated in the past few days on social media pages and some websites, about the abandonment of the late artist’s family Hisham Selim About him in the recent period, specifically at the time of his ill health and suffering from cancer, as well as the failure of his brother Khaled Selim, husband of the artist, Yousra, to accompany him, especially since Hisham Selim was suffering from his family’s distance from him and stated this in one of the television interviews, but that was more than 5 years ago on Maximum estimate, and that the family returned to cohesion and removed those differences irreversibly.
The truth was confirmed to us by a source very close to the late Hisham Selim, that these rumors are not true at all, and that what is rumored that his family did not accompany him in his health ordeal, is completely untrue, especially since the differences that were repeated by some (over time) and became forgotten, In fact, his family united with him and did not leave him in the recent period.

The source added to “The Seventh Day”, that his family, consisting of his wife, Mrs. Mervat El-Nahhas, and his sons Nour Selim, Asma Selim, and Zain Selim, in addition to his brother Khaled Selim and his wife, artist Yousra, did not leave him for one minute for more than two years, especially his sons, indicating that his son Nour Selim used to accompany him and provide him with food, drink and medicine until his last breath.
The source went on, stressing that the late Hisham Selim loved his children very much, and they exchanged love for him as well, and the family was in eternal bonding, especially that Hisham “bred them with a good upbringing.”
The source indicated that Hisham Selim died in his home and in the midst of his family and they were accompanying him in the last moments, until it came that they were taking turns taking care of him and providing him with health and living care, pointing out that he did not go to the hospital, and he died dear in his bed.
