What some people do not know is that the great musician Baligh Hamdi was close and enjoying the Saudi song. In an old dialogue prepared by the late artist Talal Maddah for Saudi TV, the late Egyptian musician expressed his admiration for the Saudi song.

Baligh Hamdi said during the dialogue: “People seemed to love her and feel her, and the national character of her is clear and she has a personality, style and words are clear, and this is the reason for its spread on a larger scale.”

In another interview, the Egyptian composer Baligh Hamdi praised Saudi art and said that it had reached a good stage of development and pointed to the great spread it had reached in the Arab world and how Saudi songs and melodies became echoed on every tongue.

When asked about the artist, Mohamed Abdo, he said that he is a smart artist and has a good voice and performance, but he used his intelligence to exploit art to obtain material, so that at one time he sang for profit only, and I hope that he will review himself to serve art faithfully.

The Arab artist regained his memories with the song “Maqadar” and rejected it, and stated that he was exposed to a conspiracy on one of the marriage occasions that he revived with Talal Maddah, which prompted the audience to leave before singing after Talal Maddah finished his connection.

Saudi writer and academic Turki Al-Hamad criticized Muhammad Abdo’s statements and wrote on his Twitter account: “Talal Maddah, may God have mercy on him, was an artist full of feelings and feelings, singing with his heart and soul before his voice, and Abu Bakr Salem, may God have mercy on him, was an elite artist in his words, melodies and performance, And not everyone agrees with him.”

Al-Hamad continued, “Our able artist, Muhammad Abdo, could have had mercy on them, and refrained from delving into their biography in appreciation of them and that is enough.”

And the Saudi journalist, Muhammad Al-Sheikh, said through his account on Twitter: “If the tune of “My Beloved Country” was actually stolen, as Muhammad Abdo claimed, then thanks to that honorable national “thief”, who, thanks to his clever theft, dressed that poem with the most beautiful melody, and adorned it with the sweetest voice to present the homeland that The eternal patriotic song, the like of which was not immortalized, until it dwelt in the hearts of all Saudis.

Saudi journalist Ali Makki wrote: “No one disagrees with Muhammad Abdo as an artist and as one of the great masters of Arabic song, but with such an opinion, regardless of his health or his motives, he deserves the title ‘critic of corpses’.”

The Emirati writer and journalist Saleh Al Jasmi also criticized the statements of the artist, Muhammad Abdo, and wrote through his account on “Twitter” that he was very surprised by these statements, and said that they contradicted his previous words and actions, which appeared on more than one occasion, praising and thanking and praising especially Abu Aseel (Talal Maddah). He calls him my teacher.

Despite the attack on the “Arab artist”, another group showed solidarity with him, considering that he did not offend the artist, Talal Maddah, but only expressed his opinion.
