Kamal recalled that although most of the scenes of Subhayatra were shot in Mumbai, some parts were also shot in Chennai. Innocent, KPAC Lalitha, Jayaram and Parvathy. The shooting started two days before Onam, but the work had to continue even on Thiruvananthapuram.
