The Public Prosecution of Dakahlia Governorate in the Delta of Egypt ordered the detention of two young men for 4 days pending investigations, on charges of killing a girl 7 years ago in the city of Mansoura.
The coincidence revealed the perpetrators of the crime, which the investigations did not find at that time, as the gossip of one of the accused led to reaching them, and after their arrest, they confessed that they were behind the commission, and one of them even confessed to assaulting her after she breathed her last.
The defendants’ confessions also revealed the details of the incident in which a girl named “Asmaa. A.M.” (41 years old) was killed in 2015, in the Al-Galaa housing area in Mansoura, after she was killed by 3 stab wounds with a white weapon, a severe bruise in her head, and the assault. On them, some of the contents of the apartment were stolen, without any traces of resistance or violence inside the apartment, and all windows and doors were intact.
The two defendants, “Ahmed. A. A. A.” (27 years old), and “Karim. K. A.” (27 years old) confessed in the investigations of the prosecution that they had committed their crime in October 2015. One of them was questioned in the investigations, as he is the victim’s neighbor in the same The property, however, completely denied his connection to the crime, noting during the investigations that he did not leave his apartment that day, but his friend’s gossip about the crime reached the officers of the Mansoura Investigation Department, and when they summoned them, they confessed to committing the incident.
The two defendants indicated in the investigations that they were watching the victim, as she was living alone after the death of her parents, and took advantage of the opportunity to open the door of the apartment to enter her, so they surprised her and entered the apartment with her. She took her last breath.
They explained that one of them, after confirming her death, assaulted her, and after that they hid the crime tools, and disappeared completely, and none of the neighbors felt their presence, which made the case to be registered against an unknown person, and they thought that it would not be revealed.
