Thanks to the shadowing of the plainclothes police officer, the robber was apprehended by a patrol a few streets away. He was in possession of a fake Browning-type pistol as well as chocolate bars.

Known to the police, the thug is also suspected of a second armed robbery in a Colruyt committed in Anderlecht an hour earlier. Interviewed, the suspect was finally released by the Brussels public prosecutor’s office.
