A 30-year-old hunter was seriously injured by a bullet on Saturday morning at dawn in Brusio, in Val Poschiavo (GR). A 54-year-old colleague mistook him for a deer.
The accident occurred in the border area between Switzerland and Italy, near Lughina, the cantonal police of Graubünden said on Sunday. The victim was taken to hospital by a Rega helicopter. An investigation carried out by the Graubünden public prosecutor and in which the Italian Carabinieri participate must clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.
