The pianist, Amr Selim, revealed the scenes of the last phone call he had with the artist, Hisham Selim, about 3 days before his death, while he was hosting the “Sitat” program broadcast on the “Al-Nahar” channel.

Salim said: “The last call was between me and him about 3 days before his death, and he was in the hospital and was afraid to leave. And it’s October 6, I won’t be able to go at any time and wake him up, it’s not nice.”

He added: “I told him, when will you come, Hisham? He said, I am fine, is it, you call me, and I will see my news? What? And when I stay in the form and good, I will tell you about my time, and keep your mind from rehearsals, we want you to break the world.”

He continued: “The truth is that he was a very good, kind and gentle person and depended on him, and in a time when these needs were rare, during the days of my father and grandfather, this was normal. We were raised like this, which emptied Hisham from distinguished people, his qualities are not a lot of them, by the way, not because of my cousin, But because I got to know him closely.

The artist Hisham Selim left our world at the age of 64, after a struggle with cancer, and the late artist left important works in theatre, cinema and television.

Among the most prominent works of the artist, Hashan Selim: “Mohamed Ali Street, Arabesque, Mahmoud Al-Masry, Ya Donia Ya Grammy, Empire of M, Between Two Worlds, Al-Nazir, Al-Masrawiya, Nights of Helmiya, Crystal” and others.

It is noteworthy that the pianist Amr Selim was influenced by music since his childhood when he was listening to his grandmother’s playing the oud, and when he discovered his talent, he joined the Dalia School for the Care of the Blind. Through him, he participated in many musical competitions, including the best instrumentalist. He was a preparatory student and won first place over the Republic, until he joined Cairo University.
