he was shot and urgently needs a prosthesis

A young man who was the victim of a robbery in Bariloche, was beaten and shot three times, asked the Ministry of Health of Río Negro to speed up the times to access the prosthesis you need to keep your hand mobile.

The event occurred on the night of January 31 when Ariel Puel parked his car at the corner of Beschtedt and Brown to answer messages on his cell phone. He said that suddenly, two men got into the vehicle. They beat him and shot him three times.

“I don’t know where I got the strength from and how I got out of the moving car. Today my recovery is slow because it depends on some prostheses to start rehabilitating myself,” Puel summarized in a dialogue with Ideas Circulares on FM Bariloche.

That night, the young man parked his car to answer his phone and estimates that he stayed there for about 10 minutes. “Two people got on and began to hit me. One got in on my side and the other on the passenger side. Since they couldn’t get me into the back seat, they started to hurt me with a knife on my right leg. I didn’t see their faces because they told me to close my eyes. I broke down: I have never experienced a situation like this,” said this young man from Zapala who has lived in Bariloche for seven months.

The criminals asked him for money and according to Puel, “they were upset; They weren’t in their right mind.” “At one point, I was shot in the leg. I have a fractured tibia and fibula. I received another shot at knee height. At that moment, I realized that my life was at stake,” he said.

The worst moment, he warned, was when they aimed at his head. She decided to get into the fetal position. “I was shot point blank in the wrist. I felt my hand drop. I don’t know how but I managed to open the door and jumped out of the moving car looking for help,” she said.

Puel explained that today he has “two nails that stick out of his hand and he cannot walk because of the wound on his knee.” He can’t flex his leg either.

“The doctor insists on the urgency of the operation because the bones are healing badly. The situation worsens as time goes by. The doctor recommended that I get the prosthesis on my own to speed up the operation,” Puel said, adding: “I don’t have social work and I depend on public health. The order has already been made to the province, but they do not know when the materials will arrive. It comes out 327 thousand pesos. It’s not that much but I don’t have the money to face it. I ask the authorities for help. I’m physically and psychologically ill.”
