Great sadness in Springfield: Chris Ledesma died at the age of 64. He provided the music for Homer and his family.
When the Simpsons got musical, he was responsible for it. Since the very first episode, Chris Ledesma has been the conductor of the legendary animated series. And he worked on every episode until his retirement in May 2022. So he spent half his life with the yellow family.
Honor in Simpsons episode
The Simpsons honor the musical Unfortunately in the latest episode “My Life as Vlog”. In this one, Ledesma is equal to Homer and Marge in the intro. In hand: A conductor’s baton.
Screenwriter Al Jean posted a photo of the scene on Twitter. He wrote: “A wonderful, hard working and very talented man who will be missed by all who knew him.”
