Vienna (OTS) – “The management of the state budget in Austria shows a positive balance – this is particularly due to the policy of the Federal Government under Chancellor Karl Nehammer and the reliable administration of Finance Minister Brunner. The rating agency Fitch is more optimistic regarding the development of the national budget than previously assumed and has raised its forecast from ‘negative’ to ‘stable’. At the same time, Austria’s credit rating of “AA+” was confirmed. This makes it clear: Despite economically challenging times throughout Europe, the federal government has managed to keep Austria’s rating stable,” says the finance spokesman for the People’s Party, Karlheinz Kopf.

Head on: “As the rating agency rightly praises, the Austrian economy is very diversified. But one thing is also clear: for a continued stable economic outlook, it is crucial to do the upcoming homework on location policy.”
