Examination of 25 million students from the initiative of stunting, obesity and anemia .. and examination of 60 million students as part of the initiative to eliminate the C . virus
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, revealed the success of presidential initiatives in improving the health of citizens and upgrading the health system in Egypt, where 1.3 million surgeries were performed as part of the initiative to end waiting lists.
Abdel Ghaffar added, in today’s statements, that the maternal and fetal health initiative was launched in March 2020, during which one million and 490 thousand women were examined, and the cost of the initiative amounted to 112 million pounds, and the total number of citizens’ visits to all presidential initiatives reached 101,498,747 visits, or about 72 million.
He stated that the initiative to detect obesity, anemia and stunting for school students, during which 25 million examinations were conducted, in addition to the initiative for early detection of the C virus for school students, during which 11 million 635 thousand and 676 were detected.
Abdel Ghaffar stressed that the initiative to eliminate Hepatitis C and early detection of non-communicable diseases, during which more than 60 million citizens were examined, 2.2 million citizens were provided free treatment, and 25 million women were examined through the presidential initiative to support the health of Egyptian women.
He continued: The presidential initiative for early detection of genetic diseases, during which 123,000 newborns were examined, and the President of the Republic’s initiative to discover and treat hearing impairment and loss for newborns contributed to the examination of 3 million children.
He stated that the initiative to examine and treat chronic diseases and early detection of kidney disease, during which 29 million visits were examined, as a total of frequencies on the initiative, in addition to the elderly care program, during which 339,000 citizens over the age of 60 were examined.
He explained that the initiative for early detection and treatment of patients with liver cancer C, during which 106,078 people were examined, and through the President of the Republic’s initiative to treat children with muscular dystrophy, 11,684 children were examined, and the total number of children receiving the genetic drug reached 34 children.
