The Ministry of Health and Population announced a positive case of monkeypox virus (Mpox) for a 39-year-old person, taking preventive measures against the infected person and his close contacts, and transferring the patient to receive treatment in one of the hospitals affiliated with the Ministry, noting that the general health condition of the patient is stable.
The discovery of this case comes within the framework of raising the degree of preparedness and preparedness for emerging diseases and the accuracy of the national surveillance system for infectious diseases of epidemiological importance, which can promptly detect any infectious diseases.
