Health Care: The campaign will continue for 40 days in Ismailia Governorate, targeting 250 thousand citizens in the governorate
The Public Authority for Health Care, from Ismailia Governorate, launched the activities of the second phase of its awareness campaign to wash hands and preserve the health of the mouth, teeth and gums, which will run from now until mid-October 2022.

The statement of the General Authority for Health Care stated that the campaign implemented by the authority in cooperation with an international company aims to teach hand washing in the correct manner in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization, in addition to raising awareness of the importance of dental washing and maintaining the health of the mouth, teeth and gums.

And the authority’s statement continued, the campaign “Your health, hold your hand and your tooth” in Ismailia governorate continues for 40 days, targeting 250,000 citizens in the governorate, while the campaign primarily targets children of all ages, in addition to educating their families on the correct ways to wash hands. And the importance of brushing teeth from childhood.

The statement continued, that during the campaign, modern technological means are used to teach children the importance of brushing teeth, through virtual games inside the mobile clinic that roams all parts of Ismailia Governorate, to teach hesitant children the importance of brushing teeth, in addition to distributing a number of symbolic gifts and coloring booklets to encourage Children stress the importance of washing hands and brushing teeth in a proper way, to urge children and their families to pay attention to personal hygiene.

The statement added, inside the mobile clinic, which is scheduled to tour several neighborhoods in Ismailia Governorate, there are equipped basins for the purpose of training children and teaching them the proper steps to wash hands with soap and water, in addition to some initial examinations to detect the safety of the mouth and teeth of all those who frequent them.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Health Care, Assistant Minister of Health and Population and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, stressed that infection prevention and control, including hand hygiene, is critical to achieving universal health coverage, pointing to the importance of raising young people’s awareness of that. Preventive measures, and informing them about healthy health patterns in a practical way.

He explained that cleaning hands and teeth and following the right methods and steps in caring for them, in addition to using technological tools to create passion and fun in children, is the importance of washing hands, as it is considered one of the most effective measures, to reduce the spread of pathogens and prevent infection and transmission, especially viral ones, including Novel corona virus covid 19.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki added: Achieving universal health coverage and intensifying global efforts for control and prevention in order to avoid the occurrence of diseases as well as the elimination of diseases, as a global trend, including raising individuals’ awareness of the importance of this, and to preserve the health of citizens, in addition to improving the quality of life and the general health level of all citizens, especially children.

He added that this is consistent with the campaigns launched under the slogan “100 million health,” and in line with the political leadership’s interest in the health of Egypt’s future generations.

He stressed that this campaign stems from the health care authority’s belief in strengthening cooperation with the private sector, and in order to achieve the social responsibility of these companies, and their effective role in promoting healthy healthy lifestyles, which aims to integrate health services provided by the health care authority, not limited to Treatment only, but extends to include prevention programs and the promotion of concepts of healthy quality of life, with the aim of building a healthy, aware and disease-free generation, thus reducing the cost of treatment for the Egyptian state.
