ABU DHABI – Do not go to distant hospitals and clinics to get the flu vaccine.
Just reach the nearest pharmacy. Flu (influenza) vaccine can be obtained from pharmacies for those over 18 years of age. The health department has given permission for this to the pharmacies.
Free for them
Pregnant women, people above 50 years of age, health workers at risk of communicable diseases, Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and Tiqa health insurance card holders will be free. The health department has appealed to the public to get vaccinated and stay safe as the flu is spreading.
Pharmacies
Almanara Pharmacy, Altiqa Almiya, Altiqa Aldowalia, Al Ain Pharmacy branches and other pharmacies operating in different areas have been given permission.
It was also reported that 70,000 people received the flu vaccine at hospitals and clinics in Abu Dhabi in September and October alone.
