Health insurance is a top priority for the “Saudi Insurance 2022” symposium program

RIYADH: The health care system in the Kingdom has contributed to reducing the severity and repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic, as a result of the increased support given by the Kingdom’s government to health care programs, foremost of which are health insurance programs that provide many curative and preventive services and health awareness programs.

In line with the importance of health insurance services and programs, and their alignment with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and the health transformation programs aimed at facilitating access to health services, improving the quality of health services, and enhancing prevention against health risks, the Saudi Insurance Symposium 2022 included among its priorities research the challenges and obstacles that The health insurance business, and research into the role and importance of this sector, faces many vital issues in the insurance sector, such as “economic growth and developments in the insurance industry”, “insurance technology and its added value”, and “the development of the Saudi reinsurance market”, and “The future of health insurance”, in addition to researching various issues related to the role of support service companies in the insurance sector, and insurance issues related to society, such as the role played by protection and savings insurance in the future of the Saudi economy, in addition to anticipating future prospects and the growth path.

The symposium sheds light on the experiences and challenges faced by the insurance sector during the pandemic period and ways to develop the insurance sector, including the digitization of insurance services and products, as the sixth edition is expected to include more than 1,000 specialists and those interested in the insurance sector, and a selection of administrators and executives at the local and global levels. .

Within this framework, the media spokesperson for the insurance sector, Mr. Adel Al-Issa, said: “The sixth Saudi insurance symposium this year aims to study the challenges that the health insurance sector faced during the Corona pandemic crisis, and develop solutions to address them, which contributes to enabling the health insurance sector to Strengthening the overall health care system in the Kingdom.

Al-Issa added: “There is no doubt that the pandemic represented a more comprehensive experience of the challenges faced by health care systems in many countries. The health insurance sector, as the most insurance sector, which is necessary to protect the health of society, whether through the curative or preventive aspect.

It is noteworthy that the symposium will be held under the patronage of His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank, Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al Mubarak, and organized by the Saudi Insurance Committee “under the slogan “Growth and Development”, at the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh, on 28 and 29 September 2022.
