Boris Johnson resigns as leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. “In politics no one is indispensable,” Johnson said in a speech outside Downing Street in London. One of the more immediate causes of his resignation was the fallout from Johnson’s botched handling of a scandal involving a government official who allegedly groped two people at a dinner party last week.
